Scenic’s Antarctica charters sell out within days

Scenic Tours has announced it will operate private charter cruises to Antarctica in 2015, after selling out its first voyage to the region within days.

The line introduced private yacht charters to Antarctica last year, sending Le Boreal to the region.

The cruise sold out within three days to Scenic’s past guests before it had a chance to be released to the general public.

A second charter on board L’Astral was also announced and sold out. Now, Scenic says it will operate two Le Boreal cruises to the region in 2015 to meet demand.

However, you’ll need to be quick to get a spot on the cruises, with Scenic Tours product manager for Antarctica Louise Hill explaining many places on the cruise have already been pre-registered by those who missed out in 2014.

She said: “Antarctica is proving to be one of the most sought after destinations. “We had an absolutely extraordinary response to the introduction of our luxury private charter cruises last year.”

The announcement was made less than week after Scenic revealed it will charter private cruises into South East and Arabia next year.
