A new luxury ship will be sailing the Mekong by January 2016 – and Australian line Scenic has revealed an impressive plan for its newest vessel.
The Scenic Spirit will cater for 68 guests and features the largest all-balcony one-bedroom suites on any river.
Each of the impressive 34 suites features separate bedrooms, living room and balcony.
The Deluxe Suite comes with a Scenic Sun Lounge while the Royal Panorama Suite, at 80sqm is the largest suite on any river cruise ship in the world.
The premier suite features four separate areas – bathroom with extra-large bathtub, rainfall shower and walk-in dressing room; bedroom, living room and outdoor forward facing deck complete with daybed, Jacuzzi and al fresco dining table.
The five-star Scenic Spirit also has four dining venues offering a la carte to casual dining. Produce is sourced locally so guests can sample food from the region.
Facilities onboard include a lavish pool deck and bar, full spa with sauna and steam room and Sun Deck with open air cinema.

The 13-day Treasures of the Mekong Cruise started from $5,245 per person twin share which includes a seven night luxury cruise onboard Scenic Spirit, three night stopover in Siem Reap, Cambodia and a two night stopover in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
