Launched in 2023, Scenic Eclipse II is the second of Scenic’s Discovery Yachts, sailing with a maximum of 228 guests (200 in Antarctica and the High Arctic) and a close to 1:1 guest-to-crew ratio. Built to Polar Class 6 standards and styled with the sleek contours of a sailing yacht, she measures 168 metres in length with a gross tonnage of 17,545 and a cruising speed of 17 knots, carrying two on-board helicopters and a custom-designed submersible, Scenic Neptune II, to unlock destinations far beyond the reach of larger ships.

Dining and Culinary Experience

With a culinary team of over 38 chefs from 15 countries and more than 3,000 recipes in the menu repertoire, Scenic Eclipse II offers up to 10 all-inclusive dining experiences, each complimentary and open galley, so you can watch the passion and expertise that goes into every meal.

Elements is the ship’s main restaurant, serving an à la carte menu of Italian, steak and seafood dishes for dinner, while Lumière (reservations required) offers contemporary French fine dining alongside its own dedicated Champagne Bar for a truly elevated evening.

Koko’s Asian Fusion interweaves traditional ingredients with innovative techniques to celebrate the diverse flavours of Asia, complemented by the Sushi & Saké Bar @ Koko’s (reservations required) for an authentic Japanese experience. Night Market @ Koko’s (reservations required) turns dinner into an interactive Teppanyaki grill experience for eight guests, with cuisine inspired by the vibrant markets of Asia, India and the Middle East.

For the ultimate occasion, Chef’s Table @ Elements is an exclusive, invitation-only 10-course degustation dinner for 10 guests, while Chef’s Garden @ Scenic Épicure runs culinary masterclasses and tastings with the ship’s expert chefs and sommelier.

For something more relaxed, Azure Bar & Café offers all-day grazing, and Yacht Club serves as a grill restaurant and bar for breakfast, lunch and special themed dinners. In-Suite Dining brings a comprehensive 24-hour menu straight to your suite or verandah, delivered by your butler.

Every beverage is complimentary too, with a premium selection available all day and an extensive range of Champagne, sparkling, red, white, rosé and dessert wines, with daily selections inspired by the destination. Scenic Eclipse II is designed as an ultra-luxury expedition experience, and her onboard activities and excursions reflect that focus.

For Families and Kids

Scenic Eclipse II doesn’t run a dedicated kids’ club or children’s program, and her signature experiences, including helicopter flightseeing and dives aboard the Scenic Neptune II submersible, are subject to weight restrictions and medical approval. That means the ship is better suited to adult travellers and multi-generational families with older children than to young kids. Families are welcome to explore destinations together through the ship’s all-inclusive excursions and expert Discovery Team-led experiences.

For Couples

Aboard Scenic Eclipse II, exploration ranges from polar Expedition Voyages led by a Discovery Team of up to 20 scientists, historians and expert guides, to more relaxed Discovery Voyages, where a smaller 10-strong team leads Zodiac cruising, guided hikes and snorkelling with marine biologists between stops at secluded coves and remote islands. Soar above some of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes aboard the ship’s two state-of-the-art helicopters, or dive beneath the surface in the custom-designed Scenic Neptune II submersible.

Back on board, the Scenic Lounge Bar, the main bar and heart of the yacht located next to Reception, features a mixology cocktail program and a whiskey bar for connoisseurs, with a resident entertainer performing throughout the night.

The marble Sky Bar on Deck 10 offers unrestricted destination views with indoor and outdoor seating and six private cabanas, while the Lumiére Champagne Bar is the place to elevate any celebration with a carefully curated range of exquisite Champagne.
