Royal Caribbean’s Quantum-class ships won’t only be the first to have robot bar tenders and surf simulators at sea, they’ll also be the first to feature the Tony Award-winning Broadway production, ‘We Will Rock You’.
The musical will play onboard Anthem of the Seas when she sails from Southampton, England in April next year.
Written by British comedian Ben Elton, the play tells the story of a group of Bohemians trying to break society out of an impending future where everyone dresses and thinks the same and where musical instruments and composers are forbidden.
Music featured includes a lineup of 24 classic Queen tracks, such as ‘Another One Bites the Dust’; ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’; and ‘We Are the Champions’.
Royal Caribbean executive vice president of operations Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said guests sailing on Quantum-class ships will receive an entertainment experience that exceeds anything even seen at sea.
“We’re thrilled to bring the timeless rock ballads of Queen to our most appropriately named ship,” she said.
Additionally, guests sailing on Adventure of the Seas from 2 November 2014 will receive a limited time viewing of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical, ‘Tell Me on a Sunday’.
