AmaWaterways will launch its 2028 season with special savings, two new ships and itineraries.
But hurry, travellers can save up to $3750 per stateroom, provided bookings are made before 30 September 2026.
The luxury line will debut new ship, AmaMaria on the popular Rhine River while AmaGaia will launch on the Douro.
With growing demand for river cruising in Portugal, AmaGaia will join AmaVida, AmaDouro and AmaSintra on the Douro.
In France, AmaWaterways will introduce a new 10-and 11-night itineraries to sail the Rhone and Saone rivers in July and August 2028. The new itinerary will offer longer stays in port so that guests can fully immerse themselves in the culture and atmosphere of the destination.
In addition, AmaWaterways is expanding its collection of pre-and-post land packages to include stays in Krakow, Nuremberg, Basel, Luxembourg, Brussels, Lyon, Aix-en-Provence, Dijon and Porto. For instance, in AmaWaterways’ three-night extension in Krakow, guests will be able to experience a city tour with visits to Schindler’s Factory and a full-day Auschwitz excursion.

“A river cruise is often part of a much bigger international holiday, so planning ahead makes sense. Opening 2028 now means guests can really build the trip they want, with more choice around where they go, when they travel and the stateroom they choose.
“We’ve got new ships, new ways to explore destinations and more opportunities to extend a river cruise with time on land,” he added.
