- AmaWaterways’ women’s-only river cruise will be aboard AmaKristina sailing in France departing on 19 August 2027.
- The seven-night river cruise will offer exclusive experiences including a Rose sundeck party, a champagne breakfast, wine and gin tastings.
- The cruise will be hosted by winemaker Emmanuelle Bekkers from Bekkers Wine in McLaren Vale.
AmaWaterways will debut its first-ever women’s only river cruise in France in August next year.
The specially designed women’s only cruise will be aboard the elegant AmaKristina on a seven-night sailing through the south of France, departing 19 August 2027.
Guests will enjoy a collection of exclusive experiences throughout the journey including wine tastings, a Pink Martini demonstration, a Lavender Gin tasting, a Whispering Angel Rose sundeck party and a champagne breakfast. The cruise will be led by acclaimed winemaker, Emmanuelle Bekkers from Bekkers Wine in McLaren Vale.
Managing director of AmaWaterways Australia and New Zealand, Steve Richards said that the new cruise has been created after repeated requests from travel advisors seeking a river cruise experience tailored specifically to women travelling together.
“This is one of those ideas that has come directly from our travel advisor community,” said Richards. “They’ve been telling us they’re seeing more women wanting to travel together, whether that’s lifelong friends, sisters, mothers and daughters or solo travellers looking to meet new people in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
“We know women already make many of the travel decisions within a household, but we’re also seeing a real rise in women choosing to travel on their own terms. This cruise gives them the confidence to do that while enjoying everything AmaWaterways is known for, from exceptional dining and immersive excursions to outstanding wines and genuine connection.”
The women’s only river cruise will have a limited number of solo staterooms.
