Princess Cruises has completed sea trials on the brand new Regal Princess, one month ahead of her debut.
The ship, which is scheduled to launch on 20 May, set out to sea from an Italian shipyard.
Crew tested her propulsion, steering and navigational equipment for five days.
Following the trial, she returned to the shipyard for exterior and interior finishing.
Regal Princess is a sister-ship to Royal Princess and has similar facilities including the social hub, over-water SeaWalk and private poolside cabanas.
Her first voyage will be a seven-day Mediterranean cruise from Venice to Athens, with calls in Corfu, Mykonos and Istanbul.
