Seven Seas Mariner has sailed back to the Mediterranean this week following a multimillion dollar makeover.

The ship’s renovations were part of a fleet-wide revitalisation, which saw Seven Seas Voyager undergo a similar refurbishment last year, as did Seven Seas Navigator in 2012.

Mariner’s upgrade included new furnishing, upholstery, custom-carpeting and hand-selected inside its suites and lounges.

The two-deck high theatre received a new LED wall for enhanced on-stage productions, which will now host the line’s largest production, ‘Cirque Rock n’ Roll’ – aerial theatrics choreographed to music from Michael Jackson, Pink, Queen and more.

The two lounges, Stars and Horizon have been upgraded and the Fitness Center received brand new state-of-the-art exercise equipment.

Outside decks also received a few tweaks. The Pool Deck has been given a makeover with new resort-style sofas and lounges; with a new look Pool Grill and La Veranda.

President Kunal S. Kamlani said investment in the fleet underscores the line’s commitment to providing guests with luxury ships and an ultra-inclusive experience.

“Regent Seven Seas Cruises sets the benchmark for luxury in the cruise industry and after witnessing the transformation on Seven Seas Mariner it’s clear we once again raised the bar,” he said.

Following her renovations, Mariner returned to Europe where she will spend the rest of the season sailing in the Mediterranean.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is also expected to introduce a fourth ship, Seven Seas Explorer, in 2016.
