Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth has made her inaugural voyage into Vietnam’s Halong Bay.
She glided in early yesterday morning, as mist blanketed the UNESCO World Heritage site and its array of rock pillars, caves and islands.
The visit was part of the 2,000-passenger ship’s first 118-night Round World Voyage, which commenced in Southampton on 10 January 2014.
So far she has sailed to the Caribbean, Panama Canal, San Francisco, Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia.
She arrived in Halong Bay after an overnight stay in Hong Kong. Following her visit she will sail to Singapore, Sri Lanka, India, Dubai and the Mediterranean.
