Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas will touch water for the first time on Saturday as the line floats the ship out of the shipyard.
The 4,180-passenger ship will float out of Germany’s Meyer Werft’s building at 7.30am local time.
The third largest ship will dock alongside the pier in Papenburg for one night before she is switched on for thruster and stabiliser tests.
Following the float out, she will complete other sea trials until she makes her way to New York where she will be christened and launched in November.
