Princess Cruises to send seven ships to Alaska in 2012.
The recently released 2012 Princess Cruises Alaska brochure is not short on options. With seven ships operating in the area next year, the cruise line has plenty of ships, itineraries, departure dates and combination land tours to choose from.
Its 10-day round trip voyages through the Inside Passage, for example, now depart from three different ports – Seattle, San Francisco and Vancouver. A ‘Voyage of the Glacier’ cruise, which takes in Glacier Bay National Park, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and College Fjord or Hubbard Glacier, is now offered on four different ships.
The cruise line is now also offering 21 combined land and sea itineraries, each of which include visits to Glacier Bay and Denali National Park. The Denali Explorer “cruisetour”, for example, features a scenic rail journey and accommodation in the Denali and Mt McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodges followed by a seven-night Voyage of the Glacier cruise.
