Presentations by the legendary Jean Cousteau, whale-watching & Michelin-starred chefs are some things to look forward to aboard Paul Gauguin in 2012.
French Polynesian staple Paul Gauguin Cruises will visit Australia in 2012 according to new details of its 2012 sailing schedule, which also features three new itineraries, esteemed guest speakers and events, and 50 per cent off brochure fares.
As Cruise Passenger reported in April, the luxury vessel will sail from Australia for the first time in three years, visiting New Caledonia, Fiji, Tonga, the Cook Islands and the Society Islands on January of 2012.
There’ll also be three voyages starring explorer and environmentalist Jean-Michel Cousteau, who will lead a series of lectures about his worldly experiences and several diving excursions; and a cruise in September to Rurutu (a popular whale breeding area) will offer abundant whale sightings.
In June, Michelin-starred chef Jean-Pierre Vigato will join passengers for a Tahiti and Society Islands cruise, where he will surely be the focus of attention with his gourmet menu.
