P&O Cruises’ Facebook page confirmed that Pacific Jewel was going through her sea trials today, Friday November 26, just in time for her return to service tomorrow.
As Cruise Passenger reported on Thursday (Update: Pacific Jewel still in drydock) that Pacific Jewel was scheduled to leave drydock at Garden Island on Wednesday but for unknown reasons did not leave until this morning.
According to P&O’s Facebook page (Pacific Jewel Update — leaving for sea trial) the ship has been undergoing intensive testing of her new onboard facilities, including a big screen on her pool deck, and operating systems.
“We continue to prepare for Jewel’s departure from Sydney tomorrow on her J036 White Cloud Wonders Cruise. We will continue to update you,” the page says.
We at Cruise Passenger are sure Jewel will leave tomorrow without a hitch, but will let you know the full details on Monday.
