Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas will farewell Sydney. But don’t worry folks – she’ll be back at the end of the year.

She has just completed her maiden season which included cruises to New Zealand as well as around Australia. She’s now returning to Singapore where she’ll be homeported for the Asian wave season.

“What a spectacular few months! Ovation of the Seas has wowed more than 40,000 guests with her incredible features and service. We are thrilled with the success of her maiden season and cannot wait to welcome her back again in November,” said Adam Armstrong, managing director, Royal Caribbean Australia & NZ.

“As well as offering guests a new way to holiday down under, the SuperCruising vessel also had a huge impact on the Australian economy, injecting more than $35 million in passenger spend alone”.

Ovation was the largest ship to ever arrive in Australia and she has some amazing technological features like sky-diving and surfing experiences, bumper cars, 18 dining options and more.

Ovation of the Seas departs Sydney at 6.30pm today for her 14-night repositioning voyage to Singapore. The sailing will include maiden calls to Brisbane on 22 February and Darwin on 28 February, before arriving in Singapore on 6 March, rounding out a hugely successful Australian debut.
