Talbot Bay is the site of the famous Horizontal Waterfalls, an extraordinary natural phenomenon. Intense tidal currents on the ocean-side of Talbot Bay force through a gap that separates two sandstone cliffs.  The water on the inland side can’t escape fast enough, so the tidal water shoots across sideways – looking very much like a horizontal waterfall.

After this exciting experience, the Zodiacs took us through the stunning sandstone canyons here. Then, in the afternoon, there was a galley tour – an experience I always love. As expected, everything was spotless.

In the evening, as always, our expedition team showed photos of the day’s events and briefed us on the following day.  This is always a crowded event and a great excuse for pre-dinner drinking.
