Classic International Cruises’ 550-passenger Athena began her longest-ever season in Australia when she arrived in Fremantle on Sunday December 18, after a month-long journey from Europe.
Athena will operate a month-long program in and out of Adelaide in January and February, 2012 as well as calling into Fremantle 11 times. She will make a total of 33 calls in Australian ports throughout the season – the longest season ever for the cruise line by a total of 35 days (Athena returns to Europe on May 24, 2012).
“Our flagship, Athena, has proved increasingly popular in Australia, particularly in our home ports of Perth and Adelaide, with the growing demand leading to our biggest-ever season this summer,” said Classic International Cruises Managing Director Grant Hunter.
Athena’s 2011/2012 season includes a 38-night round trip voyage to Japan and her first visits to Darwin, Broome and Geraldton. www.classicintcruises.com
