Oceania Vista is one of the newest ways to experience Oceania Cruises‘ hallmark small-ship luxury, launched in 2023 with a fresh, organic design inspired by the land and sea. She will begin sailing in Australia during the 2027/2028 season, departing from Sydney for itineraries around the country and into Asia.
Every stateroom and suite comes with a veranda, a first for the brand’s Allura Class, and the ship introduces several new firsts in dining, accommodations and guest experience alongside the tried-and-true favourites Oceania guests have long adored. As an adults-focused, destination-driven line, Oceania Vista is built for travellers who want The Finest Cuisine at Seaยฎ, genuine hospitality and immersive itineraries without the crowds of a mega-ship. Expect an astounding array of dining, from the refined elegance of The Grand Dining Room to the ultimate steakhouse experience at Polo Grill, plus signature spaces for every mood, from an intimate reading nook to a lively evening at the Casino.
In this guide, we’re unpacking everything you need to know before you book, from dining and onboard activities to staterooms and suites.

Dining and Culinary Experience
Oceania Vista reaches new pinnacles of creativity with an astounding array of dining options, ranging from informal to extravagant, all included in your fare unless noted otherwise.
The Grand Dining Room is the luxurious grand dame of Oceania’s culinary world, with menus that change daily across at least 10 appetisers, soups and salads and 10 dinner entrรฉes, from signature Jacques Pรฉpin classics to an Executive Chef’s Tasting Menu and healthy Aquamar Vitality Cuisine options. No reservations required.
For casual dining, Terrace Cafรฉ covers breakfast through dinner with an easy, sun-drenched ambiance and popular Chef’s Market Dinners, while Aquamar Kitchen offers wellness-inspired dishes like energy bowls and cold-pressed juices. Poolside, Waves Grill serves American favourites by day and transforms into an authentic Neapolitan pizzeria each evening.
Round out the day with Afternoon Tea‘s parade of pastry carts, or a coffee and fresh pastry at Baristas & Bakery. The ship’s mixology program also brings interactive experiences like the Bubbly Bar, the Ultimate Bloody Mary Bar, and single malt whisky and rum tastings to venues including the exclusive Founders Bar. In-Room Dining is complimentary around the clock, with a full hot breakfast for every stateroom and suite, and course-by-course specialty dining service for suite guests.
For something extra special, Privรฉe hosts intimate, multi-course wine pairing dinners by La Reserve for up to eight guests, including the Dom Pรฉrignon Experience and the Odyssey Menu, at an additional fee.
Four specialty restaurants (reservations required, included in your fare) bring even more variety to the table:
- Polo Grill is the ultimate classic steakhouse, with USDA certified Angus beef aged a minimum of 40 days, plus seafood classics like grilled swordfish and whole Maine lobster gratinรฉe.
- Jacques, named for founding Executive Culinary Director Jacques Pรฉpin, serves the epitome of French sophistication, from coq au vin to confit de canard.
- Toscana presents an evolution of Tuscan cuisine on custom-designed Versace china, with recipes rooted in the culinary staff’s own family traditions.
- Red Ginger serves bold, balanced Pan-Asian dishes with Thai, Korean, Japanese and Malaysian roots, paired with a premium sake selection and Asian-inspired cocktails.

Onboard Activities (Family, Kids and Couple)
Enjoy every day onboard Oceania Vista with a variety of activities and entertainment.
For Families and Kids
Oceania Cruises is an adults-focused line built around sophisticated, destination-driven travel, so Oceania Vista doesn’t offer dedicated kids’ clubs, youth programs or family staterooms the way a family cruise line would. It’s best suited to couples, friends and solo travellers seeking a quieter, more refined atmosphere on board.
For Couples
Enrich your days at The Culinary Center, a hands-on cooking school led by expert Chef Instructors, or discover a creative streak at Artist Loft under the guidance of Artists in Residence. Curl up in the Library, attend a talk from an onboard Guest Speaker, or brush up on your travel photography at the LYNC Digital Center.
By evening, catch an exclusive Broadway-caliber production show, choreographed in part by “Dancing with the Stars” pro Britt Stewart, or settle in at one of the ship’s Bars & Lounges: Martinis for its Hollywood-inspired cocktail menu, Founders Bar for barrel-aged Negronis and tableside preparations, the exclusivity of the Grand Lounge, panoramic views at Horizons, or a poolside drink at Waves Bar. Try your luck at the Monte Carlo-inspired Casino, or browse the Boutiques for duty-free jewellery, watches and resort wear.
For wellness and relaxation, the Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center is Oceania’s first purpose-built, holistic wellness centre, complete with an open-air Spa Terrace, plunge pools and whirlpool spas. The Pool Deck offers shaded cabanas and daybeds, the Running Track & Sports Deck has a golf putting green, shuffleboard, pickleball, paddle tennis, bocce and croquet, and the Fitness Center offers complimentary classes from Pilates to full-body strength training.

FAQs
Is everything all-inclusive?
Oceania’s Your World Includedยฎ fare bundles in more than most: all specialty dining across the ship’s restaurants, shipboard gratuities and complimentary Wi-Fi are always included, plus your choice of a wine and beer by the glass package or a shore excursion credit. What’s not included: premium spirits, the Casino, spa treatments, and a handful of elevated experiences at an additional cost, such as Privรฉe’s wine pairing dinners and the Macallan and Brugal 1888 mixology experiences.
Is there a dress code onboard?
Oceania calls it ‘Country Club Casual’, elegant without pretense and without the need for tuxedos or evening gowns. Most evenings in The Grand Dining Room and the specialty restaurants call for cocktail dresses or skirts and blouses for women, and collared shirts with trousers for men. Terrace Cafรฉ and Waves Grill stay relaxed even in the evening, where blouses and nice shorts are welcome, though shorts and T-shirts are reserved for these two casual venues only. Baseball caps aren’t permitted in The Grand Dining Room or specialty restaurants at dinner, but are fine at Terrace Cafรฉ and Waves Grill.
Is the cruise suitable for solo travellers?
Very much so. Oceania Vista introduced a brand first with its Concierge Level Solo Veranda Stateroom, a category designed exclusively for solo travellers, complete with the same Concierge Level privileges as other suites, including a private veranda, free laundry service and Concierge Lounge access. Oceania also regularly offers reduced or waived single-supplement fares for solo guests booking other stateroom categories.
