Oceania Marina will be deployed in Australian waters, and before she arrives will be undergo a major refit.
But this ship has been personifying the Oceania Cruises experience since 2011, blending sophistication with a contemporary flair to create a casually elegant ambiance. From the sparkling Lalique Grand Staircase to the stunning Owner’s Suites, designer touches are everywhere, and the ship remains a favourite among culinary and travel connoisseurs for its intimate, small-ship scale.
As an adults-focused, destination-driven line, Oceania Marina is built for travellers who want The Finest Cuisine at Sea, genuine hospitality and immersive itineraries without the crowds of a mega-ship. On board, guests will find an array of complimentary specialty restaurants, a hands-on cooking school, and signature spaces for every mood, from a classic English-style library to a lively evening at the Casino.
In this guide, we’re unpacking everything you need to know before you book, from dining and onboard activities to staterooms and suites.

Dining and Culinary Experience
Oceania Marina is designed for epicureans, with an array of complimentary specialty restaurants and unique dining experiences, all included in your fare unless noted otherwise.
The Grand Dining Room is the grande dame of the Oceania Cruises culinary world, with menus that change daily across Jacques Pรฉpin’s signature delights, Continental classics, Aquamar Vitality Cuisine and an Executive Chef’s Tasting Menu. No reservations required.
For casual dining, Terrace Cafรฉ covers breakfast through dinner, with a pizzeria oven at lunch and hand-cut sushi and sashimi by evening, while Aquamar Kitchen offers wellness-inspired dishes like energy bowls and cold-pressed juices. Poolside, Waves Grill serves American favourites by day and transforms into an authentic Neapolitan pizzeria each evening.
Round out the day with Afternoon Tea‘s parade of pastry carts, or a coffee and pastry at Baristas & Bakery. For something extra special, two Experiences by La Reserve bring exclusive, multi-course wine pairing dinners to the table: the Dom Pรฉrignon Experience and the Odyssey Menu, both at an additional wine or Champagne surcharge.
In-Room Dining is complimentary around the clock, with a full hot breakfast for every stateroom and suite, and course-by-course specialty dining service for suite guests.
Four specialty restaurants (reservations required, included in your fare) round out the ship’s dining scene:
- Polo Grill is a classic steakhouse through and through, with USDA certified Angus beef aged a minimum of 40 days and a tableside Caesar salad prepared the traditional way.
- Jacques, modelled after a Parisian bistro and decorated with art from Jacques Pรฉpin’s personal collection, serves rotisserie classics like roast chicken and pairs them with a beurre blanc-finished sea bass.
- Toscana serves authentic Tuscan cuisine on custom-designed Versace china, with recipes rooted in the culinary staff’s own family traditions.
- Red Ginger channels feng shui harmony with contemporary interpretations of Asian classics, from spicy roast duck salad to Malaysian beef penang.

Onboard Activities (Family, Kids and Couple)
Enjoy every day onboard Oceania Marina with a variety of activities and entertainment.
For Families and Kids
Oceania Cruises is an adults-focused line built around sophisticated, destination-driven travel, so Oceania Marina doesn’t offer dedicated kids’ clubs, youth programs or family staterooms the way a family cruise line would. It’s best suited to couples, friends and solo travellers seeking a quieter, more refined atmosphere on board.
For Couples
Enrich your days at The Culinary Center, the first hands-on cooking school at sea, where each guest prepares their own dishes at a fully equipped workstation. Discover a creative streak at Artist Loft‘s Art Enrichment program, curl up with one of more than 2,000 books in the English-style Library, or attend a talk from an onboard Guest Speaker on destination culture and wellness topics.
By evening, catch one of the ship’s diverse production shows, from I Love Being Here with You: The Songs of Peggy Lee to Dancin’ Fool, or settle in at one of the ship’s Bars & Lounges: Martinis for its members’-club atmosphere and live piano, the Casino Bar for tableside mixology, the convivial Grand Bar, the country club casual elegance of Horizons, or a poolside drink at Waves Bar. Try your luck at the Monte Carlo-inspired Casino, or browse the Boutiques for duty-free jewellery, watches and resort wear.
For wellness and relaxation, the Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center offers rejuvenating massages, facials and lifestyle consultations, while the Pool Deck, Running Track & Sports Deck and Fitness Center round out the ship’s active pursuits, from complimentary fitness classes to sports deck competitions.

FAQs
Is everything all-inclusive?
Oceania’s Your World Includedยฎ fare bundles in more than most: all specialty dining across the ship’s restaurants, shipboard gratuities and complimentary Wi-Fi are always included, plus your choice of a wine and beer by the glass package or a shore excursion credit. What’s not included: premium spirits, the Casino, spa treatments, and a handful of elevated experiences at an additional cost, such as the Dom Pรฉrignon Experience and Odyssey Menu at Privรฉe-style La Reserve dinners.
Is there a dress code onboard?
Oceania calls it ‘Country Club Casual’, elegant without pretense and without the need for tuxedos or evening gowns. Most evenings in The Grand Dining Room and the specialty restaurants call for cocktail dresses or skirts and blouses for women, and collared shirts with trousers for men. Terrace Cafรฉ and Waves Grill stay relaxed even in the evening, where blouses and nice shorts are welcome, though shorts and T-shirts are reserved for these two casual venues only. Baseball caps aren’t permitted in The Grand Dining Room or specialty restaurants at dinner, but are fine at Terrace Cafรฉ and Waves Grill.
Is the cruise suitable for solo travellers?
It can be. Oceania Marina doesn’t have a dedicated solo stateroom category the way the newer Oceania Vista or Oceania Allura do, but solo travellers receive one complimentary Wi-Fi login per stateroom and can book any standard category, with Oceania regularly offering reduced or waived single-supplement fares for solo guests. The ship’s intimate scale, communal Library and lively Bars & Lounges also make it easy to strike up conversation with fellow travellers.
