Norwegian’s new dining highlights

From October, Norwegian Cruise Line will be introducing a la carte specialty dining on its all-new Norwegian Escape.

This dismissal of the set menu is part of the brand’s Freestyle Cruising experience, which will allow guests the flexibility to choose the amount of courses they wish to enjoy, thanks to per-item pricing.

Specialty restaurants onboard Norwegian Escape include:

Cagney’s Steakhouse, using certified Angus beef in its dishes. Starters will range from US$4.99 to US$7.95, and main courses from US$17.99 to $29.99.

Le Bistro, serving French favourites such as bouillabaisse, pan-seared Jumbo Bay scallops and veal medallions with sauce morrel, starting at US$15.99.

La Cucina, for antipasti, pasta, risotto and traditional secondi courses – osso bucco alla Milanese, free-range chicken with prosciutto or pan-seared sea bass fillet – starting at US$12.99.

Guests who purchase a Norwegian Specialty Dining Package will be able to eat at these restaurants for no additional charge. And for just $15 extra, they can dine at Bayamo by Jose Garces.

Moderno Churrascaria and Teppenyaki will still have a cover charge of US$19.95 and US$29.95 respectively.

In addition, Ocean Blue on Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway will also offer a la carte dining from October.

A la carte dining will be rolled out across the entire fleet from January 1, 2016.
