Norwegian Cruise Lines’ CEO, Kevin Sheehan, is thanking the more than 35 million viewers globally who have watched his episode of “Undercover Boss” by launching “The Boss Is Back” promotion.
Most recently re-run on the CBS Television Network, The Learning Channel and the Oprah Winfrey Network, the episode sees Mr Sheehan get recognised as the company CEO for the first time in the series’ history when he goes “Undercover” to learn more about ship board operations.
“The Boss is Back” promotion will offer all those who book a cruise aboard Norwegian Epic and Pride of America before 19 August 2012 up to USD$200 credit per stateroom along with reduced deposits for cruises of three-days or longer.
“I learned so much during my Undercover experience,” Mr Sheehan said.
“Even now, more than a year later, I continue to be humbled and appreciative of hor our crew makes every day memorable for our guests. I’ve also continued my Undercover journey by making a point of visiting all of our ships on a regular basis.”
Cruise Industry News reports that Mr Sheehan has visited 11 Norwegian ships this year alone and is placing a major focus on crew welfare and training.
Enhancements based on crew feedback are also taken very seriously with the most recent initiative being the expansion of bandwidth for crew and the lowering of internet and telephone rates to allow crew to keep in touch with friends and family more affordably.
