Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Jewel has been fitted with new bars and restaurants as part of its upgrade.

The ship was the first in the Norwegian fleet to be retrofitted with Irish pub, O’Sheehan’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill; and the Brazilian-style steakhouse Moderno Churrascaria.

Also new to the ship is the Sugarcane Mojito Bar, while guests can now buy cookies and cakes by the Master Baker Buddy Valastro from the Java Café.

Guest areas received new carpeting and windows while upgrades were also made in the casino, photo gallery and pool deck.

“Our guests are going to love the addition of both O’Sheehan’s and the Sugarcane Mojito Bar which can only add to the already great dining and lounging opportunities onboard,” chief executive officer Kevin Sheehan said.

Norwegian Jewel is currently sailing seven-day Alaska cruises from Seattle. She will reposition to Houston in October for a series of Western Caribbean cruises with stops in Cozumel, Mexico; Belize City, Belize; and Banana Coast, Honduras.
