Windstar Cruises renovates Star and Spirit
NewsWindstar Cruises has announced it will upgrade the staterooms on two of its smallest sister yachts, when Wind Star and Wind Spirit undergo $3 million renovations.
Wind Star’s 72-guest staterooms will be renovated in November this year and the Wind Spirit’s 73-guest stateroom makeover is scheduled to be complete by April 2015.
Changes to the cabins will include replacing the vanity set-up with a sofa for guests to relax, watch TV or take a nap. The middle of the couch also converts into a table, giving guests a place to write or eat their room service meals.
The centre dresser located next to the bed will also be exchanged for a new dresser.
Renovations follow on from touch-ups made in 2012 as part of the line’s $18 million fleet-wide renovation, where the cabins received leather headboards, stately arm chairs, linen wall coverings, wool carpeting and stylish bed cushions.
