There will be bigger private balconies and a unique pool design on Scenic Tours’ two new ships.

Scenic Opal and Scenic Jasper will be the line’s third generation of Space-Ships when they are launched in 2015.

Although they will share similar features to sister-ships Scenic Gem, Scenic Jewel, Scenic Crystal and Scenic Jade, they will also have a few unique differences, according to Canada.com.

New on the ships will be a split pool on the sun deck. One half will be for leisure and the other half will be equipped with a water stream for guests who want to swim laps during their stay.

At least 85 percent of cabins and suites onboard will include large private walkout balconies that also convert into an all-weather lounges.

Meanwhile, public areas, Panoramic Lounge and the Portobello Restaurant – which feature on other Scenic ships – will receive a special moving glass wall, which will be used to enclose the two rooms during poor weather.

Look out for more features on Scenic’s new ships in coming weeks on Cruise Passenger.
