Titanic II to set sail in 2017

They say the sequel is never as good as the original. In this case we hope that isn’t true.

Australian businessman, Clive Palmer’s $500 million Titanic II project is almost complete, and cruisers could be retracing the ill-fated ship’s path in an exact replica by 2017.

The ship will be designed exactly the same as the original Titanic from facilities right down cramped third-class cabins.

According to the Courier Mail, hundred of cabins below the waterline will be exactly the same as they were back in the early 1900s.

Food on board will be prepared and served just as it was in the first version and apparently special training will be given to waiters to ensure they are serving up 1900s hospitality.

There won’t be any television or internet on board, however, there will be a swimming pool, smoking room, shopping area, casino, gym and Turkish baths.

This isn’t the only replica of the Titanic that’s in the works, with a province in China developing a replica for a new Titanic theme park.
