Royal Caribbean announces Radiance and Rhapsody’s schedule for 2012 Alaskan summer.
Once Radiance of the Seas leaves Australian shores after her maiden season next year, she’ll be heading north for a season in Alaska with her fleet-mate Rhapsody of the Seas.
Itineraries were released yesterday for the two vessels, which will operate in the pristine waters of Alaska from May to September 2012, the 20th year in the region for the cruise line.
Radiance of the Seas will operate seven night itineraries between Vancouver in Canada and Seward in Alaska, while Rhapsody of the Seas is slated for seven-night voyages sailing roundtrip from Seattle.
“Once our Australian guests have experienced Radiance of the Seas in the Australian summer, I’m sure they will be very keen to follow her in Alaska during our winter months,” said Adam Armstrong, commercial manager of Royal Caribbean Cruises Australia.
Accompanying the new itineraries are “cruisetours”, as Royal Caribbean calls them – land adventures ranging from 10 to 18 nights in length, including visits to Denali National Park, the Canadian Rockies, Calgary, Banff and other cities and towns located off the cruise route.
