Evergreen Tours has just introduced shorter river cruises for guests who may only have limited time on to cruise on their holiday!
The line normally offers 15-day river cruise itineraries between Amsterdam and Budapest, but from 2016, these shorter cruises will also be available.
These itineraries are designed for passengers who may be travelling to Europe to visit friends and relatives, or for work, and want to add a cruise to their schedule.
But for those who have already embarked on Evergreen’s famous 15-day cruises, this is also a chance for those second timers to explore a new section of the river or re-live the highlights on an award-winning deluxe Emerald ‘Star Ship’.
Evergreen’s new 10-day cruise on the lower Danube between Budapest and Bucharest, Romania has an array of sights.
Some of the activities include a visit to a Puszta horse farm with a performance showcasing the athletic skills of the Magyar horsemen, a home-hosted lunch with a Croatian family, a visit to Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria, and tour of Belgrade and Bucharest. 25 meals are included.
There are four departure dates in 2016: March 31, May 14, June 23 and September 3. This cruise is priced from $3,395 per person twin share.
Also new for 2016 is an eight-day Delights of the Danube cruise between Nuremberg and Budapest which includes the final stretch of the fascinating Main-Danube canal, the beautifully preserved medieval town of Regensburg,  a walking tour of Passau, a cruise through the beautiful Wachau Valley, Melk Abbey, and touring of Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest.
The line includes 20 meals and there are multiple 2016 departures between March and October.
The eight-day cruise is priced from $5,195 per person twin share.
