Seabourn invites Michelin-starred chefs on board
NewsSeabourn is giving cruisers the chance to watch some of the world’s best chefs in action on Seabourn Sojourn’s world cruise next year.
The line has recruited four Michelin-starred chefs to sail on the ship’s 116-day world cruise departing Los Angeles on 4 January 2014. Joining at different points of the world trip, the four chefs will conduct cooking demonstrations and supply signature touches for the ship’s menus.
Chefs recruited to sail on the cruise include, executive chef at Marburger Esszimmer in Germany, Bernd Siener [January 21-31]; executive chef at Fischers Fritz in Germany, Christian Lohse [January 21-31]; executive chef at Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland, Andrew Fairlie [March 14-25]; and the ‘Magician of Molecular Cuisine’, Heiko Antoniewicz [February 9-17].
Seabourn president Richard Meadows said it is in a new opportunity for guests on board, even the chefs working on board are eager to meet the guest speakers.
“Seabourn guests share an avid interest in food and wine,” he said.
“They like to indulge in new and different flavours when they travel, therefore we are pleased to offer them a variety of cuisines during their voyages.”
