Royal treatment for young cruisers
NewsIncreased space and dedicated outdoor areas will be featured with three categories of age groups catered for.
“It’s always important to us that passengers of all ages have a great time onboard,” Princess Cruises executive vice president Jan Swartz said.
“Naturally we’ve included features on Royal Princess to make every moment of the cruise memorable for our youngest passengers – we love hearing them tell their parents that they can’t wait to come back.”
Princess Pelicans (ages 3-7)
A new outdoor play area will feature toys, games, tricycles and a playground while the indoor space will include a mini air hockey table, arts and crafts area and a jungle gym and will also cater for group activities including movie nights.
Shockwaves (ages 8-12)
An outdoor lounge area will feature air hockey tables, skeeball and game stations while inside amenities include a big screen TV and a DJ booth.
Arts and crafts activities will be led by Princess’ youth counsellors and group events including pizza and ice cream parties and children–only dinners will be held over each voyage.
Remix (ages 13-17)
The Princess DJ booth takes centre stage in this enhanced area for teens, allowing guests to load their own playlists into the mix when they’re not playing foosball, skeeball or video games.
