The largest cruise ship homeported in Australia, Voyager of the Seas, snuck in early this morning to a classic Sydney Harbour welcome.

Then fire ship spouted water.  And there was even a double rainbow as the vessel approached the Overseas Passenger Terminal.

After an $80 million “head-to-toe” makeover, completed in Singapore 13-days ago by a workforce of 4,000, the Voyager is now jam-packed with cruise goodies.

One of the biggest new attractions is a surf simulator called the FlowRider. It is just one of the activities which Royal Caribbean has installed to appeal to younger cruises.

Captain Charles Teige has been crowned the master of the FlowRider since it was installed on the ship. You can watch him surf the FlowRider here.

There is also a rock climbing wall, an ice-skating rink, an inline skating and jogging track, a 3D cinema screen as well as a miniature golf course and basketball court.

Voyager of the Seas caters for over 3,400 guests, making it one of the world’s largest cruise ships and certainly the biggest to call Australia home.
