NewsThe 124-passenger AmaLotus made her maiden seven-night Mekong River voyage from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Riep, Cambodia last week.
AmaWaterways’ newest vessel will now provide a luxurious finale to the company’s ‘Vietnam, Cambodia and the Riches of the Mekong’ itinerary. On this tour, guests experience two nights in Hanoi, an overnight luxury junk cruise through the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ha Long Bay and two nights in Siem Reap, Cambodia – visiting Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King, the Bayon and Baphuon Temple – before climbing aboard AmaLotus for a seven-night journey from Siem Riep to Ho Chi Minh City.
Featuring a synthesis of colonial elegance and regional Khmer styling, AmaLotus has 58-square-metre suites, 10 junior suites at 27 square metres and standard staterooms of 21 square metres – 90 per cent of which have balconies.
Journeying from Siem Reap, AmaLotus will stop at Phnom Penh, Kampong Chhnang, Oudong, Tan Chau, Sa Dec, Xeo Quyt and Cai Be.
