Explore the Red Sea on board Costa Marina from November 2010

Costa Cruises is operating a 14-day cruise around the Red Sea on board Costa Marina to discover the ancient riches of this remarkable region. Departing from November 2010, the tour will offer guided day trips in Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, Israel and Jordan.

Excursion highlights include Katakolon, the birthplace of the Olympics; the archaeological sites of Olympia; Port Said, the gateway to Egypt; a bus or boat trip along the Nile River that takes in the Pyramids of Giza, the Mastaba of Mereruka and the Colossus of Ramses II; plus Sharm el Sheikh, a former fishing village that’s now the best-known Egyptian Red Sea resort.

Costa Marina is a mid-size ship that features distinctive glass walls in the restaurant and a glass dome in the Laguna Club. In keeping with the trend for staying fit rather than fat while cruising, the ship has a wellness centre, hydro-massage pools and swimming pool, a jogging track plus a gym with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides.
