Queen Elizabeth en route to Oz
NewsCunard’s new ship is on the way for her maiden Australian visit and a Royal Rendezvous.
The regal new Queen Elizabeth has set sail across the Pacific Ocean during her maiden world voyage, destined for her inaugural visit to Australia where she will meet her sister Queen Mary 2 in Sydney Harbour on February 22.
Queen Elizabeth is sailing towards Hawaii, Western and American Samoa, Fiji and New Zealand before she arrives in Australia on February 22. She has just left Los Angeles, where she made her maiden call to the west coast of the US.
On February 22, both ships will spend the night in Sydney Harbour in what is sure to be a spectacular evening with thousands of onlookers lining the shore.
The next day Queen Elizabeth will continue sailing the Asutralian coast around to Melbourne and Fremantle before continuing on her voyage west to Africa, the Americas and back to her homeport in Southampton.
