Deanna Catlett, a western Sydney mother-of-two, has returned from a 10-day Pacific Islands cruise, on which she was the 3 millionth passenger to sail with P&O Cruises.
Deanne, 39, travelled with her husband Greg, 40, son Zane, nine, and six-year-old daughter Koralee, and the family, it seams, was spoilt by the cruise line. Upgraded to a mini-suite, given a celebratory cake and treated to a rare behind-the-scenes bridge tour, the family was lavished with special attention.
Deanne and Greg also enjoyed a romantic dinner at Luke Mangan’s Salt grill restaurant and attended a Captain’s cocktail party while their children hung out at the ship’s kids clubs.
“We will definitely go on another cruise but don’t know how it will top this one,” said Deanna.
In a clear indication of the growing popularity of cruising, 1 million of the 3 million P&O Cruises passengers travelled in the last four years.
