Hurtigruten experiments with a new pricing system to give guests more flexibility.

Passengers planning a cruise along Norway’s scenic coastline with Hurtigruten can now customise their itineraries depending on which ports they would like to call in.

Port-to-port pricing is now available on Hurtigruten’s ‘Classic Norwegian Coastal Voyage’, which calls at a total of 34 ports along Norway’s west coast. Passengers can choose to stay longer in a particular port and now have the option to visit towns and cities further afield than is possible to visit with only a day in port.

“Hurtigruten has 11 ships serving 34 ports daily, creating a choice of 1,122 possible sailings,” says Hurtigruten Sales Director Rolf Logan. “We have now established a pricing system that is easy to understand and even easier to customize to fit the guest’s travel needs and wishes.”

All we have to do now is wait to see if any other cruise lines follow suit… This would be perfect for river cruising!
