P&O to add Edge activities on Pearl, Dawn
NewsP&O’s Pacific Pearl and Pacific Dawn are set to receive the ‘world’s largest adventure park at sea’, when P&OEdge activities are installed later this year.
In October last year, P&O unveiled 20 Edge activities on board Pacific Jewel, which included a Flying Fox, Segway Challenge, Bungy Tramp, Laser Tag and a Titanic Moment where guests can replicate the famous scene between Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in the James Cameron movie.
The new features have been a success among cruisers, with an average use of 140 times a day or 25,000 times in six months.
Although dates are yet to be confirmed, the line’s two other ships will receive Edge activities later this year commencing with Pacific Dawn.
Creator of the new adrenaline activities, John Sharpe told Cruise Passenger at the launch last year that the Pacific Pearl and Pacific Dawn will receive similar activities to the Jewel – plus another six unique activities on each ship.
Senior vice president Tammy Marshall said the activities have created a fourth dimension to the cruising experience.
“We look forward to seeing more of our passengers take up the opportunity to climb, swing, race and jump their way around our ships,” she said.
