Orion takes the cake with food and wine voyage

Orion Expedition Cruises is taking onboard gourmet offerings to the next level, with a seven-nights Tasman Discoverer themed food and wine voyage.

Sailing from December this year, the seven-day cruise from Brisbane to Auckland via Norfolk Island is designed to help travellers “stimulate all the senses” through a collection of tastings with wine and cheese makers and food workshops with acclaimed chef, Dominique Rizzo.

Armed with the catchphrase, ‘eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we diet’, Orion said everyday travellers will receive “tantalising” and surprising meals from fresh seafood to New Zealand lamb, while enjoying a range of fine Gimblett Gravels red wines.

The Tasman Discoverer sails from Brisbane on 13 December 2013 and is available from AU$3,735 per person for ocean view stateroom.
