Norwegian Cruise Line’s next ship will have the largest casino in the fleet, an outdoor boardwalk plus a three-level atrium.

Norwegian Escape, scheduled to launch in October next year, will feature The Waterfront and 678 Ocean Place first introduced on Norwegian Breakaway in 2013.

The Waterfront is an outdoor concept featuring an oceanfront path, which is lined with restaurants, bars and shops. It offers guests water views during sea days and gives a sense of connection to the ocean.

The Waterfront will be located on deck eight and will feature Dolce Gelato for icy treats, the Humidor Cigar Lounge and shops.

Meanwhile, the three-level atrium, called 678 Ocean Place, will connect decks six, seven and eight with floating glass staircases.

678 Ocean Place will house Norwegian’s signature restaurants, including the 24-hour sports bar and restaurant, O’Sheehan’s Bar & Grill; Japanese restaurant, Teppanyaki; elegant French venue, Le Bistro; Brazilian-style steakhouse, Moderno Churrascaria; al fresco Italian dining room, La Cucina; and Cagney’s Steakhouse.

Main dining room Taste will be located on deck six. New to the venue will be a private group-dining venue called Private Room at Taste. It will cater to up to 100 guests and will be located directly below Taste on deck five.

Escape will also have the largest casino in the Norwegian fleet. Spanning more than 19,000 square feet, the casino will be decorated using ornamental lighting and highly decorative artwork.

Inside, there will be 28 gaming tables such as poker, blackjack, roulette and craps. There will also be 357 slot machines.

Within the casino guests will be able to grab a drink at the new Skyline Bar. Norwegian described the new venue as an “elegant and highly sophisticated lounge”. The lounge will feature entertainment, a bar and multiple high definition TV screens that will be used to transform the mood.

More information on the vessel will be released in the coming months.

Norwegian Escape is scheduled to launch in October next year with weekly seven-day cruises from Miami to the Eastern Caribbean.
