Norwegian Getaway will now be delivered by Meyer Werft shipyard  in late January 2014, three months earlier than anticipated.

The 146,600-gross tonne vessel will carry 4,000 passengers and  will be the largest ship to homeport year-round from Miami.

Norwegian Getaway will depart on a transatlantic voyage from  Rotterdam, The Netherlands on 16 January 2014 calling into Southampton for  additional guest embarkation, before nine days-at-sea and is scheduled to  arrive at her new homeport on 27 January 2014.

Sailing on her maiden Eastern Caribbean voyage on 1 February  2014, Norwegian’s newest build will visit ports including; Philipsburg, St  Maarten; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands and Nassau, Bahamas.

In response to the earlier than planned launch, Norwegian has  amended itineraries for Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Sun and Norwegian Pearl which  will also be positioned in Miami.

Norwegian Epic will sail out of Miami on Sundays on a Western  Caribbean itinerary, while Norwegian Sun will depart on her ten- and 11-day  voyages to the Southern Caribbean on Mondays and Thursdays, a day later than  normal.

Norwegian Pearl will now be chartered from 19 January to 21  March 2014 with the line adding four new seven-day Western Caribbean  itineraries on 21 March, 28 March, 4 April and 11 April.
