Norwegian Cruise Line announces new beach club and spa features for two ships

• Norwegian Cruise Line has announced new upgrades to Norwegian Gem and Norwegian Jade.
• Both ships will now have significantly upgraded spa thermal suites, as well as a new adults-only beach club space, complete with a bar, loungers and private cabanas.
• NCL says the changes were made directly from consulting customer feedback and seeing what passengers wanted.

Norwegian Cruise Line has offered cruisers the first glimpse into the new upgrades to Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem. The refurbishments include a reimagining of the adults-only Vibe Beach Club space, as well as a re-done Thermal Suite in the spa.

Norwegian Jade is currently sailing in Alaska, and in a couple of months it will pivot over to Asia, where the ship will sail from Tokyo, Yokohama, Incheon, Hong Kong, Singapore and more.

Norwegian Gem is currently sailing in the Mediterranean, offering weekly sailings out of Rome. Later in the year she’ll pivot to the Caribbean, sailing out of Tampa and Jacksonville in Florida.

The new Norwegian Cruise Line spa updates

Both shipes will see an expanded Thermal Suite in the spa, with several new features being either added or expanded.

There’ll now be a new charcoal sauna, as well as an ice room and salt room, to promote full body recovery and a range of health benefits across reducing muscle stiffness, promoting respiratory health, clearing out skin pores and more.

The ship’s spas will now also be equipped with an IV Lounge, which continues to be a trending treatment for quickly delivering nutrients to the body.

Also found onboard will be four-senses loungers, which provide a full sensory relaxation experience.

Norwegian Jade will also add experiential showers and a plunge pool for cold water immersion. Norwegian Gem has also renovated its hot tub and Thalassotherapy pool.

The new Adults-only Vibe Beach Club

Both ships now offer a special adults-only beach club experience at Vibe Beach Club on deck 14. Here, guests can enjoy ocean views, a bar, a hot tub, more than 50 premium lounger chairs and seven brand new private cabanas.

As mentioned, the space will be adults-only to provide tranquility and give it that feeling of being a tucked away oasis on the ship.

Norwegian Jade will also have a new Starbucks store.
