New Celebrity ship named
NewsIntroducing Celebrity Reflection, the line’s fifth Solstice Class ship.
Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice Class ships all have names relating to the sun and shadow and the fifth in the line’s ‘Xceptional’ series continues the tradition, having just been named Celebrity Reflection. Following delivery in November 2012, Reflection will join her sisters Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse and Silhouette as the final vessel in the company’s $US3.7 billion investment in premium cruise ships. Built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, Celebrity Reflection will feature many hallmarks of the other Solstice Class vessels, particularly the latest in technological communications – for example ‘Qsine’, the first seagoing restaurant to feature a menu and wine list on an iPad®, and the ‘Celebrity iLounge’ that made Celebrity Cruises the industry’s first Authorised Apple Reseller. You’ll find the half-acre real grass Lawn Club, a total of 10 restaurants, one of the world’s largest permanent collections of original contemporary art and ‘hip, cool’ nightclubs and lounges. And if you need to brush up on your i-skills, there will be plenty of onboard courses offered through the ‘Celebrity Life’ programs.
