More of the Middle East

Costa Cruises kicks off its sixth consecutive season in the Emirates with the deployment of flagship Costa Favolosa.

Costa Cruises’ 3,800-passenger Costa Favolosa has made her inaugural visit to Dubai, marking the opening of the cruise line’s sixth consecutive season in the Emirates and increasing commitment to the region.

“By deploying our latest and most innovative ship we are confident we will stimulate the interest of the local market to choose a holiday at sea, with our ultimate goal to develop Dubai and the Middle East both as a unique destination and as a growing outbound market,” said Dario Rustico, Vice President Sales and Marketing of Costa Cruises Pacific Asia Operations.

Costa Favolosa will be offering seven-night ‘Jewels of the Emirates’ cruises of the Arabian Gulf from December 16, 2011, to April 6, 2012, with an opportunity to experience the region’s towering cliffs, desert dunes, futuristic architecture, mosques and skyscrapers. The cruise includes one-day stopovers in Muscat, Oman; Fujairah, UAE; Abu Dhabi, UAE; and Khasab, Oman.

The cruise line will make 58 port calls in the United Arab Emirates this season.
