New luxury small-ship cruise line launches in the US
NewsThere’s a new player in the luxury small-ship cruise sector, as US cruise line Pearl Seas Cruises officially takes off.
The line launched its first ship, Pearl Mist, in Baltimore this week.
At only 335-feet, the ship carries 210 passengers. The ship was designed to go where large ships are unable to.
There are 108 cabins, all of which have a private balcony. Staterooms measure at 580-square-feet, which is quite spacious for a small ship.
The ship is also fitted with six lounges and one large dining room.
Initially, Pearl Mist will sail on New England and Canadian itineraries before heading to the Caribbean in February next year.
Cruises will range from seven to 14 nights. Among the itineraries is an 11-night Great Lakes and Thousand Islands Cruise, which will take guests from Quebec City to Chicago via Montreal, Clayton, Toronto, Niagra Falls, Windsor, Little Current, Mackinac Island and Holland in Michigan.
There’s also a seven-night Caribbean Discover. The roundtrip from St Martin takes guests to Tortola, San Juan, St Croix, St Kitts, St Barts and Saba.
