Hurtigruten has announced it will send MS Fram on an extended voyage to northwest Greenland, as part of the new Arctic Wilderness Adventure.

Available as an 11- or 14-day voyage, the cruise launches in June next year from Kangerlussuag and allows guests to explore new harbours and points of disembarkation on the Greenland coast.

New stops on the itinerary include; Upernavik – located on Melville Bar in northwest Greenland; Qasigiannguit – a town with 1,300 inhabitants; and the island on the mouth of the Uummannah Fjord.

The 11-day cruise costs from £5,248 per person including early booking discount and then 14-day version costs from £5,341 including early booking discount.

Travellers who book before 31 October 2013 will receive an additional onboard credit of £120 per person.
