Now  you can experience two different vessels, two different types of cruising and 34 different cities in 22 days.

Hurtigruten and Evergreen Tours have adopted a new philosophy, with the launch of their 22-day ‘European River and Norwegian Fjord Cruise’.

Setting sail next year, the itinerary is a combination of a deluxe European river voyage with a cruise through Norway’s spectacular fjords.

The cruise launches in Budapest where guests board an Evergreen ‘Star Ship’ for a 15-day river cruise.

Over the next two weeks passengers will discover Bratislava, Vienna, Nuremberg, Cologne and Amsterdam as well as Bamberg, Miltenberg, Durnstein, Rudesheim and Wurzberg.

They’ll cruise through the magical Wachau Valley and Rhine Gorge surrounded by castles and vineyards, and “You’re Invited” to enjoy a home-hosted afternoon tea with a Slovakian family.

The next stage of the journey sets this itinerary apart for any other cruise.

Passengers fly from Amsterdam to Norway to embark on a six-night ocean cruise from Bergen to Kirkenes via the Arctic Circle.

Travelling in a 650-passenger Hurtigruten vessel, guests will journey through one of the most remote destinations.

Along the way passengers will witness Norway’s natural beauty, dramatic fjords and depending on the time of the year, the Northern Lights.

UNESCO listed Geraingerfjord is lined with waterfalls and 800m high cliffs rising from the sea.  Visit Trondheim, Norway’s Viking capital, cross the Arctic Circle and discover the impressive Lofoten Islands, Tromso, “the Polar Capital”, and the breathtaking North Cape.

In total, passengers will explore 34 different towns and enjoy 60 meals – many of which are locally made during the Hurtigruten cruise.

The 22-day cruise is priced from $9,690 per person twin share.
