It’s the Hoff on the high seas! David Hasselhoff, star of the 90s hit TV show Baywatch, will be the Captain for this year’s It’s the Ship floating festival.

Best known for playing the sexy lifeguard Mitch Buchannon on Baywatch, The Hoff will be hosting the third instalment of Asia’s largest EDM festival at sea.

The cruise, onboard Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas will be sailing from Singapore on November 4 to Penang with an epic lineup of music acts. Over three days you’ll get to see the likes of Knife Party, Dada Life, Sander van Doorn, Peking Duk and Far East Movement.

“We believe that we have put together a solid, diverse and multi-genre line-up this year,” said Muhammad Iqbal, CEO of The Livescape Group, the organisers of It’s the Ship.

“With It’s the Ship going into its third year, we wanted to refresh the customer journey by bringing acts who we think will help us create the perfect engagement with the fans on board,” he added. “But in true Livescape fashion, we still have a couple more things up our sleeves, to further enhance the It’s the Ship experience, so we’re excited to see how these different entertainment elements will come together to provide a one-of-a-kind adventure for our returning shipmates and new ones.”
