Crystal Cruises has announced it is giving its Crystal Society members – a group made up of repeat cruisers – free Wi-Fi on select cruises in 2014.

The offer is available on the Crystal Serenity 19 September New England/Canada sailing and Crystal Symphony 15 October Panama Canal cruise.

Each Crystal Society guest will receive 60 minutes of complimentary Internet access for every day of the cruise. This means on a 10-day cruise, the passenger will receive 600 free minutes per person, which can be used at any point during the cruise.

Wi-Fi can be used across a range of devices including the iPad, iPhone, laptop or Crystal’s computers on board.

Crystal Cruises president Edie Bornstein said the majority of the line’s passengers are repeat guests.

“We opted to expand our Crystal Society offerings to thank our loyal patrons,” he explained.

“By adding this coveted perk to our All Inclusive experience, repeat cruisers in all stateroom and suite categories have one more reason to choose Crystal as their home base while travelling the world in the finest of luxury and ease.”

Over the past 12 months Crystal Cruises has made major adjustments to its onboard Internet to offer guests faster service.

Among the changes was maximizing satellite bandwidth and expansion of Wi-Fi signal range throughout the ship.

The line has also made Internet accessible in places like Japan where it was not previously available.
