Italian seaport Trieste will be the venue for Costa Cruises’ Costa Favolosa christening, which will also be a tribute to all things Italian, on July 2, the cruise line announced in a press conference today.

Aspects of the country’s culture, such as art, beauty, music and history, will be displayed in an entertainment extravaganza alongside Favolosa (Italian for fairytale)– the biggest ship ever to fly the Italian flag.

Weighing in at 114,500 gross registered tons and accommodating 3,780 passengers, Costa Favolosa will operate a maiden summer season of seven-day cruises from Venice and Bari to Turkey, Greece and Croatia.
