For those who want the best of both river and ocean cruising, Evergreen Tours have announced three unique river and ocean cruise combinations.
The river cruise company will be partnering with Princess Cruises and Poseidon Expeditions in 2016 and these new cruises will include the Mediterranean, the Baltic and the Arctic.  Norwegian Fjords cruising with Hurtigruten is also on offer.
Cruise enthusiasts will now have the opportunity to experience the best of both worlds – river and ocean.
Guests will embark on a 15 day deluxe European river cruise and be able to add a 14-day Poseidon Expedition cruise for an Arctic Circle adventure, a 12-day Baltic Sea cruise or an eight-night Mediterranean sea cruise, both with Princess Cruises.

The 22-day river and Mediterranean cruise includes a stint from Amsterdam to Budapest, as part of the river component.
From there, guests will then sail around the Mediterranean and explore Italy’s Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and Sorrento then head to Crete and Mykonos, Ephesus and Istanbul before disembarking in Athens.
The cruise departs 30 April and 9 July 2016 and is priced from $8,980 per person.
If the Baltic and Scandinavia is more your cup of tea, after Evergreen’s river cruise, head to Oslo in Norway, Berlin in Germany  and Tallinn in Estonia, before looping around St Petersburg then head to Helsinki in Finland, Stockholm in Sweden and finally, Copenhagen in Denmark.
The cruise departs 11 June and 16 August 2016 and is priced from $10,885 per person* twin share.
Last but not least, the third option is to head to the Arctic.
After the Evergreen river cruise, hop on board the Poseidon Expedition ship, the Sea Spirit for an adventure around the Arctic.
Sail from Spitsbergen to Reykjavik, experience zodiac excursions and keep an eye out for whales, polar bears, walrus and other wildlife.
