Uniworld launches a new ship along the Douro River in Spain and Portugal.

Farewell Douro Queen and welcome to Douro Spirit! Uniworld has done away with its former Spain and Portugal fixture in favour of a new and much more luxurious river vessel.

Built to accommodate up to 128 passengers, Douro Spirit was recently launched in the city port of Porto and, like Douro Queen before her, offers river cruises along the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Douro River Valley – an area renowned for its wine-making and untouched scenery.

Some of the upgrades Uniworld has included with the new vessel are balconies on all suites, individually-controlled air conditioning, an on board swimming pool and jacuzzi, and lush bathrobes and bath products.

The ship’s maiden season of 11-night ‘Portugal, Spain & the Douro River Valley’ cruises between Lisbon and Porto will run until October 27 this year.
