Disney Adventure will visit a port for the first time – here’s what to know about Langkawi

• Disney Adventure, Disney’s largest ship, has been sailing out of Singapore since March this year.
• The ship has been sailing on cruises to nowhere, but will now visit Langkawi in Malaysia on a series of new sailings.
• Langkawi is a unique destination with plenty to do for the day, including taking a cable car up the moment or snorkelling in remote coral reefs.

Disney Adventure has become a new sensation out of Singapore, sailing two- to four-day itineraries to nowhere. But Disney has announced that the largest ship in its fleet will start calling at a new destination.

Disney Adventure will now have a series of new four-day sailings that visit Langkawi in Malaysia.

The new port visit dates will also apply to a range of four-day itineraries that were already on sail, so for those who already has these dates booked, their cruise will now have the stop in Langkawi added.

Disney said: “Langkawi offers nature-based experiences, family-friendly activities, local crafts and cultural attractions that complement a Disney Adventure cruise vacation.

“With its lush rainforests and scenic coastline, this itinerary enhancement offers guests even more opportunities to explore South-east Asia and enjoy new experiences both onboard and ashore.”

This will add a new dimension to vacations on the massive 6700 person Disney Adventure, which only started sailing earlier this year.

There are already 26 available dates for four-night cruises to Langkawi, with a cabin starting from $3717 total for four guests, $1858.50 per person for two people, or $929.25 per person if you go with a four person family.

Adventure will also continue offering its three and four-night sailings to nowhere, which are priced similarly to the Langkawi sailings.

What’s in Langkawi?

Langkawi is actually made up of a total of 99 islands and it’s known for having beautiful beaches that sit alongside rainforest.

A popular activity is taking the cable car up Mount Machincang and getting a birds eye view of the archipelago. At the top you can walk across the sky bridge and enjoy even more views.

Also popular are several different options for island hopping tours, which can take you to more remote beaches across the archipelago and can offer chances for snorkelling and diving in the coral reefs of the region.

Another popular activity is a trip out out to Dayang Bunting Marble Geoforest Park, where you can enjoy walks, paddle boarding, lake swims and more.

It’s also of course a great option to just stroll around town and head to the beach.
